If you see a rat, call Rodent Control at Inspectional Services Department’s Environmental Services, or the Mayor’s Hotline. Please also notify the BHCA of any rat sightings.
When calling to file a complaint, be sure to indicate the exact location of the rat sighting. Health inspectors will come out within 24 hours to investigate, set up a plan and begin baiting the rats. It is important to leave a phone number for the inspector to contact, in the event the source of the problem lies on private property, which the inspectors cannot enter without the owner’s permission.
