Maintaining the historic brick sidewalks, streets and gas lamps is the responsibility of the Department of Public Works, but getting it done requires vigilance and effort on the part of all concerned residents. Please use the following numbers to request repairs:

STREET SWEEPING
Street Sweeping is conducted on Beacon Hill from March 1 to December 31. Cars will be ticketed and towed if not removed between 8 am and 12 noon on the scheduled day. Below is a link to the street sweeping schedule, but always be sure to check the posted signs when parking.All parking spaces on the odd side of the street will be
swept on the 1st and 3rd weeks of the month, and all even side of the street
spaces will be swept on the 2nd and 4th weeks of the month. Street sweeping does not occur on city holidays or on the 5th Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday of the month.
