Public Transportation
Beacon Hill is fortunate to have easy access to four MBTA subway lines, the Green, Orange, Red, and Blue.
Street Parking
There are three forms of street parking in Beacon Hill: metered parking, resident parking and visitor parking. Parking in resident spaces requires a properly displayed resident parking permit violators will be ticketed by the city. There are few visitor parking spaces available and these
spaces are limited to two-hour parking. Residents with a properly displayed sticker may park in these spots indefinitely as long as they are adhering to the Street Sweeping schedules and Snow Removal guidelines. Metered parking is available on commercial streets such as Cambridge and Charles; metered parking is also limited to two hours. There are a few non-metered spaces for commercial parking during the hours of 8AM to 6PM; these spaces convert to resident parking overnight.
All street parkers should be aware of and compliant with City Street Sweeping schedules, Resident Parking Permit guidelines and Snow Removal guidelines to avoid tickets and/or towing. Please visit our Resources bulletin board for details.
Off-Street Parking
Several garage parking options are available in Beacon Hill. Many offer monthly rates as well as daily and overnight, and some offer discounts to residents.
Valet Parking
Several local restaurants on Charles Street offer valet parking during evening dining hours.
