"Neighbors Helping Neighbors"
Established in 1922 by a small but concerned group of neighbors to protect Beacon Hill’s residential character, the Beacon Hill Civic Association (BHCA) is a volunteer neighborhood organization which helps preserve and enhance the residential quality of life on Beacon Hill. (map) Our neighborhood is urban, historic, and residential--a fragile combination which requires constant vigilance to ensure its 'livability.' The Beacon Hill Civic Association acts as an advocate for the residents as well as a clearinghouse for information and community events.
Today, the BHCA maintains its focus on the founders’ original concerns - zoning, licensing, traffic, parking, neighborhood cleanliness and maintenance, while expanding its work to include the monitoring of citywide developments that impact the neighborhood, as well as the planning and execution of community-building events.

BHCA in Action
BHCA in Action chronicles our efforts and accomplishments and helps monitors progress toward meeting our contract commitments. We post completed projects on the BHCA In Action bulletin board and list them in our monthly newsletter.
