The BHCA actively participates in more than 40 committees to help preserve and shape the quality of life on Beacon Hill. The committees formed and operated by the BHCA to carry out the ongoing work of the organization are chaired by BHCA directors and manned by volunteers, both members and non-members alike. The BHCA also appoints individuals to serve on external committees, which are operated by the city or other local organizations, and whose interests and activities are important to the neighborhood. BHCA membership is a prerequisite for appointment to these committees.
