Each year, the BHCA awards one scholarship each year to a student in thanks for his or her contributions to the community and singles out one individual or group whose leadership positively impacts Beacon Hill.
The Beacon Award
The Beacon Award provides the BHCA the opportunity to applaud publicly those leaders in our community who have contributed the most to the beautification, preservation, safety or enhancement of the quality of life on Beacon Hill. Those recognized to date have brought a range of talents to bear on a variety of challenges and opportunities, from representing community interests in complex development projects to educating our children, from sustaining a family-run drug store to leading our civic organizations, but they all share in equal measure an unwavering commitment to maintaining the delicate balance between history and progress that defines Beacon Hill.
Since its inauguration in the 75th anniversary year of the BHCA, 1997, the Beacon Award has honored the following individuals, couples and institutions for their positive impact on the neighborhood:

Community Service Scholarship
The Beacon Hill Civic Association Community Service Scholarship is given each year on the occasion of the Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors to recognize and encourage the significant contribution college and graduate level students make to the quality of life in our community.
