The Beacon Hill Civic Association, Inc. (BHCA) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that operates according to its bylaws and produces an Annual Report of accomplishments and statement of financial condition. The BHCA's operational structure includes a small professional staff including an Executive Director and a volunteer Board.
The Board is comprised of Officers and Directors. The Executive Committee membership includes the Chairman, President, Treasurer, and Clerk, who advise on the day-to-day operations of the organization.

Directors
Limited to 35 members, the BHCA Board of Directors includes a cross section of individuals who live and work on Beacon Hill. Directors serve as committee chairs and are often involved with multiple committees based on their backgrounds and areas of interest.
Directors serve for a one-year term. There are no term limits for directors and many serve for multiple years. Typically a handful of vacancies are filled each year. The election of the Board and officers occurs at the Annual Meeting held in the spring. To apply or submit a nomination, contact the BHCA office.

Committees provide focus on the targeted range of issues and initiatives that align with the BHCA Mission. Board members chair committees and work with a large number of volunteers to implement plans that relate to the identified goals.

Membership is open to all residents and businesses of Beacon Hill. Having a large and strong membership is essential to the achievement of the BHCA’s mission. Many members are active volunteers and help with annual projects, serve on committees, and/or contribute financially.
